Beth Oliver
Beth graduated from Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 1998. While at Miami, Beth was involved in organizations such as AWS (Association of Women Students) and GLBA, serving on both of their executive committees/boards, and regularly serving on student panels to discuss gay issues. In 2002, Beth received her Masters in Social Work from Ohio State University. Beth currently resides in New Jersey with her partner Amy, with whom she celebrated a civil union in 2007. Beth currently is working as a Grant Writer for Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations.
As a board member Beth would like to help increase 1809 LGBT Alumni’s funding and increase awareness of 1809 and its mission, by increasing membership and reaching out to LGBT graduates of Miami who are still unaware of the organization.
