1809 LGBT Alumni Announces the Honorary J. Plese LGBT Scholarship
Eligibility
- Open to students enrolled at a Miami University campus (Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown or Luxembourg) during the 2008-2009 academic year
- Cumulative GPA, no lower than 2.5
- Applications sought from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender-only students from the department of fine arts including architecture/interior design, art, music, theatre, art museum and performing arts series
Award
- To be applied towards tuition, books, or fees
- Valid only 2008-2009 academic year
- Award reported to Financial Aid office as a scholarship
Applicant to be judged on the following criteria by alumni
- Based on academic qualifications and financial need
- Evidence of serving, leading, and working for change in the LGBT community on campus or off campus.
- Must be LGBT-identified and major in the arts

- Educational history
- Typed essay based on LGBT work and explanation of financial need

RECIPIENTS WILL BE HONORED on Saturday, April 26, 2007 at the annual
Lavender Graduation & Awards Ceremony (location TBA) at Miami University located in Oxford, Ohio.
